Christmas Light Appeal (Bring magic to our family of 365 Children)
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
The year is drawing to a close, and all across our homes, 365 children and vulnerable adults are getting ready for a Christmas filled with sparkle, joy, and the simple magic of feeling loved and included.
Below is a bright and easy breakdown of our Christmas Wishes & Wonder List—the goals we’re praying for this festive season. Every amount reached brings hope, healing, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer to our family. And yes… we are absolutely praying for a Christmas miracle to make as many wishes come true as possible! ✨
At the end, you’ll also find a special message from our founder, sharing why Christmas shines so brightly for a family made up mostly of children with special needs, chronic illnesses, and palliative care needs.
1st Wish: Christmas Gifts for Every Child
Goal: $10,950
Just $30 per child gives 365 little hearts a gift to unwrap—a moment of joy, laughter, and pure Christmas magic.
2nd Wish: A New Outfit for Each Child
Goal: $7,300
A $20 outfit goes a long way—worn proudly for birthdays, holidays, graduations, and those moments when a child simply wants to feel special.
3rd Wish: Support for Special Needs Education
Goal: $11,200
32 children have the chance to access specialized education—but each placement costs $550.
This goal helps open the door to learning, confidence, and opportunity.
4th Wish: A Much-Needed Ambulance
Goal: $30,000
With hundreds of emergency hospital trips this year, an on-site ambulance will be life-changing for our main village. It’s one of our biggest wishes—and one of our most needed.
5th Wish: Christmas Overflow — Where Extra Blessings Go
If we’re blessed to go above our main goals, the extra support will flow into:
Medical, sensory, and orthopedic equipment
Furnishing the new children’s home (housing 96 children — lots of beds, cupboards, and cozy touches to go!)
Christmas food hampers for families in crisis
$100 feeds a family for 2 months with essential staples
Joy-filled outings for our special needs children — national parks, swimming trips, picnics, and other magical adventures that require a good bit of planning but always deliver smiles.

A message from our founder...
Christmas in our family of 367 beautiful souls as of the day I write this. It is about more than a gathering, however valuable they are. It's about more than a time to celebrate the hope that pure and perfect love might reign supreme in our human story someday, and in many corners, thankfully, it already does.
It's about more than commercialism, toys, and gifts.
What it is about is in this one-off shot at life in the shapes and forms we are... awakening moments of meaning, magic, depth, and beauty that are so vibrant. It's as if all shadows past, present, and future are lost in the light it generates.
All children deserve to feel wonder, mystery, magic, and beauty in this life. For those who have seen too much of the opposite and are fighting tremendous battles that I pray, someday, no human child or otherwise should endure.
Then Christmas and all other celebrations of light, purity, togetherness, love, faith, and joy have all the more value to those little angels, those beautiful souls, who deserve an opening in time and space where joy and light vanquish all memories to the contrary.
This Christmas, we don't only bring toys to smile about, books to learn to read, and pen and paper to learn to write. We bring year-round education, vital orthopedic and medical equipment, and more.
All to ensure our children year-round as much comfort as we can offer, and have memories of great light to fall back on when the unfavourable ones creep in.
