Rainbow Tree, International Early Childhood Education Center
Why Is It Needed?
In a world that increasingly pushes children into early academic performance and overstimulation, many children lose the time and space they need to simply be children. Especially in low-income or high-stress environments, early childhood education is often inaccessible or lacks the nurturing qualities crucial for healthy development. There is a deep need for spaces where children can grow in peace, imagination, and connection - with nature, with themselves, and with others.
What Do We Do to Solve It?
Rainbow Tree is an international early childhood education center based in Moshi, Tanzania, offering a unique blend of Waldorf-inspired and nature-based education for children aged 1 to 10. Our approach is rooted in rhythm, creativity, and the deep belief that every child deserves to grow in wonder and love.
In our warm, nature-filled setting, children explore the world through:
Storytelling, movement, and imaginative play
Songs, handcrafts, and seasonal celebrations
Gardening, baking, painting and caring for our school animals
Respectful rhythms and strong community values
Our center welcomes children from all walks of life and seeks to foster a learning environment free from divisions of wealth, race, or background - where each child is seen, valued, and supported in their individual journey.
How Can People Support?
Rainbow Tree is a not-for-profit project under The Creator Share Foundation, and we rely on the generosity of others to keep our doors open and our programs thriving. By sponsoring a child’s place at Rainbow Tree or contributing to our educational and environmental efforts, you help make quality, holistic early education available to more children - planting seeds of lifelong learning, joy, and self-worth.
