Why Is the Child Laborer's Fund Needed?
Across Tanzania, countless children are forced into labor - breaking stones all day long, working in fields, markets, mines, or even dangerous environments - simply to survive or support their families. Instead of sitting in a classroom, they are carrying burdens far too heavy for their young age. Poverty, family illness, and the lack of accessible education push these children into cycles of hardship where childhood is lost.
Without intervention, these children are often denied the chance to learn, grow, and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
What Do We Do to Solve It?
Through the Child Laborer’s Fund, we connect sponsors directly with children who are at risk of or currently involved in child labor. Each sponsorship shares access to full-time education - including school fees, uniforms, supplies, and meals - as well as essential medical care and nutritional support. In some cases, we also support the child’s family through additional assistance to relieve the pressure that drives the child into labor. Our aim is simple: to break the cycle of child labor, restore the children's right to a safe and supported childhood, and give them the chance in life that they truly deserve.

By sponsoring a child, you ensure a vulnerable child is no longer forced to work, but can instead receive an education, proper nutrition, and medical attention.
